A bit about naturopath Belinda
I studied naturopathic medicine in a Bachelor Degree in Health Science at Endeavour College of Natural Health. Since graduating I’ve practiced naturopathy in pharmacy and coached bone and muscle strengthening and balance, at a wellness centre.
Hi, I’m Belinda Symons, the clinical practitioner at Gumflower Wellness here in beautiful Adelaide, South Australia.
I’m on a mission to help my clients keep a spring in their step (or get it back!) using natural medicine.
I use gentle, evidence-based approaches, to help stimulate the body’s ability to heal, from the inside, out.
I’ve worked with many people in various stages of healing. Here’s what I’ve noticed:
Age is just a number, not an indicator of health
Don’t assume that because you are 40 / 57 / 74+ years old (pick a number), that you are doomed to experience a certain symptom. Health doesn’t work that way.
Our mindset often determines our wellbeing
Ever met 90+ year olds who are strong and ‘young at heart’, and 60 year olds who consider themselves old? The difference lies mostly in a person’s mindset and attitude to life.
Yes, ailments, pain and conditions do exist, as does mindset around how we could navigate those challenges.
Confusing health information and fatigue from trying countless diets, therapies or medications can lead us to give up too soon.
Working with a qualified practitioner who researches novel and traditional approaches may be the right stepping stone towards your healing and health.
Sometimes we think we’ve “tried everything” (but we may not have)
To know that we know what we know, and to know that we do not know what we do not know, that is true knowledge.
~Nicolaus Copernicus
I’ll work alongside you, and your other health practitioners, to nut out the root cause of health issues, whilst aiming to gently ease any symptoms or pain along the way.
